What do YOU do to overcome anxiety when it comes to battling overwhelm?
A cup of chamomile tea. 🙂 And writing….lots of writing!
Looking at the big picture is important and for me, learning to let go is super important. We all try and hold on tight to how life “should” be. I find when I let go, it allows “what is” to flow in more.
It really helps me to do lists and set the priorities for the day. Over time I’ve learned to be more realistic with the lists so that I don’t set myself up for failure. I’m a morning person, so I try to get the bulk of my work done in the morning so that if something unexpected happens in the afternoon I can absorb it. I also allow plenty of time to get to my destination which helps me feel more relaxed when I get there. When I do this right, I have time to write! Which makes it all totally worth it. Thanks for all the other great suggestions too.
Amber, great suggestions. Going for a walk or working out for me really helps with anxiety. I’m actually much more productive when I take the time to burn off some stress by working out. Just a 20 minute walk makes me able to sit down and focus so much easier!
I definitely need to get better at reducing anxiety and being more productive.
Grab the dog and take a walk has always been a successful tactic for me.
